TIME WARP: The 1960s

The 1960s were a turbulent decade. Looking back it was the decade of protest, conflict, and civil rights fights.
We even managed to see the assassination of four of the countries leaders.

In spite of all that, one thing has remained a constant...fashion. Whether your clothing was a statement of power,
protest, or class standing, clothing was and has always been a major staple throughout history.

Fashion Report: A Night Out

To go 'out' after dark, we need an evening coat. What to wear over our
cocktail dresses was an major concern.In the 1960s a separate, dressy
coat was a wardrobe necessity.

For example, this particular faux fur garment might have been worn
by a middle class housewife, going out on the town with her husband.

*This garment style saw its beginnings in the late 1950s, and lived on until about the mid-1960s.
